As you are most likely aware, AI and machine learning have taken the internet by storm in 2023 with the introduction of ChatGPT and Bard. I have already created an article on using AI to be productive. But, I thought I would expand upon this for using AI for content creation.
Should you feel guilty about using AI?
No, you shouldn’t, assuming you aren’t using it to copy and paste to trick people into becoming an expert. The thing with AI is that it is here to stay. But it is only going to get better, just like the internet. When the world-wide-web was created in the 1990’s we had dial-up modems that loaded pages at a languid speed. Now, we have fibre-optic broadband and 5G networks, with delivery speeds of 50Mbps to 200Mbps and greater.
Whilst AI is still in its infant years, it will only improve. So don’t fear it, use it to your advantage.
Here are some top ways to save time by using AI to your advantage:
- Creating images
- Creating document outlines
- Blog post ideas
- Creating jingles
- Video editing
You can also use AI to create content. Whilst there isn’t anything immoral about it, creating content with a human’s perception in my opinion is always ideal…Because your audience is human.
Here are some tools I use (or are planning to use)
For creating plans, document outlines and lists I use ChatGPT and Bard. You can use it to create an outline for an article or ask it to create a healthy meal plan.
Music
You might be aware that AI is being used to create music too. Many decent AI software applications can help you create music using AI to recognise music patterns. See MixMag for more details. I am going to give Magenta a try because it has a free Abelton plugin
AI software has also been used to create new pieces of work. Drowned in the Sun is a song created using AI to replicate the sound of Nirvana and what a song by the band today would sound like if Kurt Cobain was still here. It is very compelling and catches the mood brilliantly.
The Beatles are set to release a new track that is being finished using AI by adding additional parts.
Images
Other tools for AI content creation include Dall-e-2, Canva, Midjourney and Craiyon; these are great AI tools that can be used to create AI imagery. Canva is not specifically an AI tool, however, in late 2023 they introduced their AI creation tool. To create an artificially generated image, type the scenario and a few moments later, you have an image.
Notes
Do you ever get tired of trying to create meeting notes?
Fireflies is a great tool that can record meeting notes via Google Hangout or MS Teams via a plugin extension. Whilst the odd word or phrase might be replaced or missed, it is still a great idea.
Notion – the note-taking app has AI functions too. This can allow you to auto-generate ideas.
